Terms and Conditions

1. Identification
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website mudancas24.com and the hiring of services provided by Mudanças24 (hereinafter "Company"), with operational headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal.
2. Services
The Company provides the following services:
- National moving: transport of household and commercial goods within Portugal
- Property clearance: complete removal of contents from residential and commercial properties
- Combined packages: joint moving and clearance service
All services are carried out by professional teams with employment contracts, covered by civil liability insurance and cargo insurance.
3. Quotes and Pricing
- The values shown in the online calculator are indicative estimates, excluding VAT
- The final quote is presented after an on-site visit or detailed analysis of requirements
- The final quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue
- Prices may vary depending on: difficult access, actual volume of goods, need for special packing, floors without elevator, additional distances
- Any additional work not included in the quote requires prior approval from the client
4. Bookings and Payment
- The booking is confirmed upon acceptance of the final quote
- A deposit of 20% to 30% of the total value may be requested to confirm the booking
- The remaining balance is paid on the day of service, upon completion
- Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, MBWay, cash
- A VAT invoice is issued for all services
5. Cancellations and Changes
- Cancellation more than 72 hours in advance: full refund of the deposit
- Cancellation between 24 and 72 hours: 50% refund of the deposit
- Cancellation with less than 24 hours: deposit is non-refundable
- Date changes are subject to availability and must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance
- In case of adverse weather conditions, the Company may propose rescheduling at no cost
6. Insurance and Liability
- All transports are covered by cargo insurance
- The Company holds civil liability insurance
- In case of damage to goods during transport, the client must report it upon delivery or within 24 hours
- The complaint must be accompanied by photographs and a description of the damages
- Compensation is processed according to the terms of the current insurance policy
- The Company is not liable for: undeclared goods, valuables not previously identified, damage caused by packing done by the client
7. Client Obligations
The client agrees to:
- Provide accurate information about the volume of goods, access conditions, and property conditions
- Ensure adequate access to the origin and destination properties on the agreed date
- Be present (or an authorized representative) at the start and end of the service
- Inform about fragile items, high-value goods, or items requiring special handling
- Ensure that no prohibited or dangerous goods are included among the items to be transported
8. Excluded Items
The Company reserves the right to refuse the transport of:
- Dangerous, flammable, or explosive materials
- Illegal substances
- Live animals
- Personal documents, money, jewelry (we recommend personal transport)
- Goods that violate Portuguese law
9. Property Clearance
- The clearance service includes the removal and proper disposal of all items from the property
- Recyclable and reusable items are directed to appropriate destinations
- In post-bereavement clearances, the Company treats all items with dignity and respect
- The client must have legal authorization to request the clearance of the property
10. Intellectual Property
All website content (texts, images, logos, design) is the property of Mudanças24 and is protected by copyright. Reproduction without written authorization is prohibited.
11. Dispute Resolution
In case of a dispute, the parties commit to seeking an amicable resolution. If this is not possible, the courts of Lisbon shall have jurisdiction, with Portuguese law applying.
12. Changes to Terms
The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect upon publication on the website. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
